Metal Catalysis with Knitting Aryl Polymers: Design, Catalytic Applications, and Future Trends

In 2011, a new type of hyper-cross-linked polymers (HCPs) arose, known as knitting aromatic (KAPs), characterized by their extraordinary chemical and thermal stability, porosity properties, above all, for the simplicity synthesis based on union monomers, without any previous functionalization. The next logical step was incorporation metals within these networks, support different soluble molecular catalysts or metal nanoparticles (NPs). Thus, number metal-containing KAPs has been gradually growing in past decade, we have considered that now, 10th anniversary first reported, review all application heterogeneous is mandatory. this review, most relevant characteristics contain are summarized, divided into two large groups, either complexes NPs, classified according to incorporated. Finally, catalytic activities were compared employed each studied reaction, future goals types materials commented on.
